Awesome job! You’ve completed day 16 of our 30-Day Nutrition Challenge. You’re well on your way to completing all 30 days successfully. Your 17th day has arrived, and with it are 10 Reasons to Make You WANT to Eat Healthy (even when you aren’t on a challenge)!
Wanting to Make the Change
Often we know we should be eating healthier, but actually wanting to is a completely different thing. When we want to do something, we do it. If we just feel we should, sometimes we do it and sometimes we don’t do it.
The key is discovering what makes you truly want to change. When you have a reason you’re passionate about, you will stick with what you want even when faced with temptation. Next time that candy bar stares you in the face, you can politely say, “No thank you, I’m off sugar at the moment” (replace the sentence to match your diet).
10 Reasons to Make You WANT to Eat Healthier
1. To live longer.
2. To enjoy an active life with your family and/or friends.
3. To reduce the risk of diseases and cancers.
4.To boost your immune system.
5. To have more energy.
6. To lose weight.
7. To help achieve your fitness goals.
8. To assist in obtaining your ideal body.
9. To prepare for an event or occasion.
10. To be a more productive individual.
To Get You Started
This list is just to get you started. You can add to this list or create your own list of what inspires you to want to make a change. A list is very helpful because one reason may inspire you one day, and it may change the next day. If you see that you have 10 or more reasons to eat healthily, that temptation, craving, or indulgence may seem a lot less appealing for just a short period of enjoyment.
Refer to your list often and continue to add to and alter it. Enjoy wanting to change for the better!
