5 Tips to Help You Get Excited about Fitness

February 2, 2011 By Christina ChitwoodFitness, Motivation

We all know how hard it can be to get motivated sometimes. You can change that pattern for yourself, though. Here are 5 tips to help you get motivated and excited about your fitness pursuits:

1. Find fun in your fitness!

If you enjoy yourself when you work out, you will look forward to it more. Think of what activities you enjoy, and see if you can incorporate them into your fitness program.

2. Find joy in your fitness!

What do you truly love, and what brings you joy? Do you feel happy when you dance? I know I do! If an activity gives you joy, try to do more of it.

3. Find personal in your fitness!

It’s so much easier to go to the gym or work out when you have an appointment. Start seeing a private Pilates instructor or personal trainer. This is for you, and your trainer will have what’s best for you in mind. Plus, your Pilates instructor or personal trainer’s goal is to help you achieve your goals.

4. Find schedule in your fitness!

Are you always busy in the morning? Maybe you have your lunchtime free. You know your schedule. So, look at it and find spots that you can make a consistent workout time.

5. Find you in your fitness!

Fitness and health is about you! You want to be the healthiest you can be or achieve whatever goal you’ve set. Figure out what you want from your fitness. Then set your short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals … and go achieve those goals for you!

When you have a purpose for what you’re doing and a plan on how you’re going to do it, you feel better about yourself and are much more successful in your pursuits. Go for what you want! Here’s to your success! 🙂

So true, we have to be excited about working out, if we don’t enjoy our workouts it becomes more a chore. Exercising is about keeping our body fit and we have to make it fun for maximum benefit.
