Holiday Shopping
Today, my husband, Tom, has joined me in co-authoring this blog post! Tom is a golf coach in San Diego, and he got me into playing golf several years ago.
We have fun playing golf together when we get the chance. Plus, we also enjoying playing golf with our British parents (Tom’s parents) when they visit San Diego.
Holiday shopping for golfers can be easy with this gift guide. Plus, this gift guide might help you decide what you’d like to do with any Christmas money. You may find a super gift for yourself.
Best Golf Gifts
Here are our recommendations for best golf gifts “fore” the golfer in your life (which can be yourself!):
Titleist Pro V1 Golf Balls have been by far the most popular golf ball used by tour professionals and amateurs alike since their release in the early 2000s.
Bamboo Golf Tees don’t bend like plastic golf tees. They have the feel of a wooden golf tee and are almost indestructible. A bamboo gold tee is a green product because bamboo is a renewable material source.
Microfiber Golf Towels are compact and lightweight. It’s good to take one onto the green to clean the ball with. They help keep golf balls and clubs clean and dry throughout a round of golf.
This Golf Club Cleaning Brush is our favorite cleaning brush. It’s perfect for keeping club heads and grooves clean. The retractable cord makes it really easy to use because you can clip it onto your bag.
What do you get the golfer who has everything? Something to put it in! Samsonite offers a great looking little hold-all trunk. It has space for up to 3 pairs of shoes or something similar in the bottom, shirts and pants in the main bit, plus lots of little compartments for gloves, tees, socks and anything else you might want to take on a golf trip. This Golf Trunk Organizer is perfect for a golf trip or a round of golf.
The Game Golf Live Tracking System is very neat. Tom has one, our British parents have one each, and many of Tom’s golf students have a Game Golf tracking system. Game Golf is the perfect way for the golf geek in your life to track all his or her stats.
The Swingbyte 2 is the second generation swingbyte. This awesome little device clips onto any golf club and syncs to your phone or tablet to give you real-time feedback about your golf swing. Great fun to play around with and might just get you hitting the ball better!
Finding the distance to the flag has never been easier. I prefer using a laser range finder such as this Bushnell Range Finder over a GPS system. You can measure the exact yardage to the flag, a tree, bunker, or maybe even the clubhouse if you are hungry!
In 2010 when we were visiting London, we happened to wander into the Harrods golf department and Tom “accidentally” found himself heading straight to TaylorMade drivers! Still, TaylorMade are a go-to for consistently great hitting drivers. This TaylorMade M1 Driver is a mixture of titanium and carbon-fiber for a light-weight, powerful driver.
Remember when Callaway first introduced their “Great Big Bertha” drivers back in the 90’s? Callaway were the first to (successfully) market a titanium-headed driver back when most golfers couldn’t pronounce it. Now you simply can’t find a driver that isn’t titanium. Here’s Callaway’s latest incarnation of their “Big Bertha” driver: Callaway Big Bertha Fusion Driver.
A Swing Speed Radar is a little portable device that you pop 6 inches in front of your ball, and it measures your swing speed. This radar is getting a lot of good reviews, and I read it’s accurate unless you are swinging at 150mph+. If your loved one is swinging that fast, buy one for them anyway … they will love being able to beat the machine!
This Callaway Hyper-Lite Stand Bag has dual shoulder straps, so it will be comfy to wear all the way round.
The TaylorMade PureLite Stand Bag also has dual shoulder straps. A great light-weight golf bag option.
Get the young golfer in your life this set of golf clubs. This Cobra Junior golf set is perfect for the beginning junior golfer or established junior golfer. If they have never played golf, why not get your youngsters started with this
Cobra Junior/Teen 11-Piece Golf Set!
