Fitness on the Road

September 16, 2011 By Christina ChitwoodFitness

Most of us have probably used the hotel gym when staying on vacation or during a work trip. However, do you prefer working out in the privacy of your own room?

Maybe you already work out in your own hotel room but are bringing your fitness equipment with you. I know I’ve done that many times, especially when traveling internationally and not knowing what hotel amenities will be available. What’s exciting, though, is that not only are more hotels providing in-hotel gyms, but also, upon request, many will provide in-room gym equipment, ranging from yoga mats to folding treadmills!

Here’s an article from Reuters with more information: Hold the pillow mint, send up the yoga mat.

It’s wonderful that fitness is becoming more of a lifestyle! It’s easier to live healthily if there are more available exercise options on the road. Next time you’re traveling for work or pleasure, check out what the hotel provides for in-room exercise! 🙂

It is very difficult to stay on track when travelling but thankfully such things as exercise bands can travel with you. Also check out 10 Minute Trainer: An Effective Workout Program For Busy Travelers
