Thoughts on the week –
I wanted to try out fitting my practice and workout in the morning. With the weather heating up, practicing earlier is cooler and easier. I also prefer to get my workout done earlier as I have more energy then.
With a constantly changing schedule that differs from day to day, it is difficult to schedule something consistent. I feel like I am on the right track to finding how to improve my practice. But I still need to experiment with what works best.
I am also going to put more focus on core strength in my workouts.
What you can learn from my experience
Start your day the right way! Efficiency expert Brian Tracy wrote a book called Eat That Frog. The theory is that if you “eat that frog” (do the hardest thing) first thing in the morning, the rest of the day will be easier! Whether your frog is a phone call for work, hitting the gym or early morning practice, get it done first and then the rest of the day is easy flowing
Goals for next week –
I have expanded my morning training schedule by July 11th
