After the popularity of the last set of running songs I did, I thought it was time to make another track list. Let’s face it, no one can keep the same playlist forever without going slightly insane. So take your pick from these beauties to add to your running playlist.
1. Black Sunshine – La Sexorcisto – Devil Music Vol. 1 – White Zombie. A classic! This song is built for speed. As far as I understand it’s basically about a guy driving a black Mustang. I hope I’m not jumping to conclusions when I assume he’s going fast. Great drums and bass, great running track.
2. Who’s Got a Match? – Puzzle – Biffy Clyro. A really cool band from Scotland. This track has tons of energy to get you speeding along the sidewalk or treadmill.
3. Memories – Memories (feat Kid Cudi) – David Guetta . A really fun upbeat sing along pop dance track. You can’t go wrong with this one.
4. NYC Moves to the Sound of LA – Bootleg – EP – Funeral Party. A great lively track that’s sure to get you pumped.
5. Little Lion Man – Sigh No More – Mumford & Sons. A brilliant new British band that I am hearing a lot in the US now. This is one of their best and a great running track.
6. Bubbles – Only Revolutions – Biffy Clyro. Had to feature Biffy again as we are seeing them this week in San Diego. Another great lively track from their latest album. Nice guitar.
7. Elements of Life – Elements of Life – Tiesto. You can’t have a running playlist without Tiesto! I tried it and I just kept falling over. So get this one on your playlist now. Go for the full-length version if you’re a distance runner.
8. Crystalised – xx – The XX. No I didn’t misspell it, another British band, so British spelling. This is a controversial choice. It isn’t high paced, loud, it hasn’t got a big beat and no guitar solos. It is simple and has a very unique sound. I think it works for longer runs. Comment if it works for you or not.
9. Heartsink – Fire Like This – Blood Red Shoes. Another group of Brits, two of them anyway. A really cool sounding tune. Head-nodding beat to keep your feet plodding.
10. Savior – Appeal to Reason – Rise Against. Big sound to get you movin’ and a singin’! This track’s on the radio a lot at the moment so chances are you already are running to it. If not, why not?!
That’s all folks. Hope these tracks help you with your training!
