Basic Upper-Body Flexibility Workout {Fitness Tutorial}

Are you looking for a flexibility workout or a recovery day workout? I created this basic upper-body flexibility workout for you!

Basic Upper-Body Flexibility Workout {Fitness Tutorial}

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS WORKOUT

A Mat (This is the mat I’m using in the video: here. It has gone way up in price since I received it a couple years ago at the IDEA World Fitness Convention.)

A Water Bottle (Preferably a glass water bottle.)

Maybe a Sports Towel

BASIC UPPER-BODY FLEXIBILITY WORKOUT TUTORIAL

FUN, FULL-BODY, DANCE-STYLE WARMUP

Before you do the workout, make sure to do this warmup (blog post tutorial) first.

BASIC UPPER-BODY FLEXIBILITY WORKOUT – YOUTUBE VIDEO

Do this workout at least one time. You can repeat this workout however many times you want to make the workout longer. You can also do this workout and then add one or more of my other workouts if this isn’t your recovery/rest day. (If you’re doing the 30-Day Challenge: New Workout Every Day, this is your recovery day workout.)

This flexibility workout is great for any time. If you’re doing the 30-Day Challenge: New Workout Every Day, This flexibility workout is for day 14. This is also your recovery day workout.

MAKING FITNESS FUN

The upper body can get tight throughout the day from working at a computer and from stress. Both deep breathing and stretching can help with releasing upper-body tension. Try to focus on breathing deeply throughout this flexibility workout to get the most benefit.
