Best Montessori-Friendly “I Love You” Books for Babies and Toddlers

February 7, 2019 By Christina ChitwoodBaby, Best Books for Kids, Book/Product Reviews, Mom Life, Toddler

Reading “I love you” books to your baby or toddler is a joy! Some of my favorite books to read to my baby boy are “I love you” books. I’ve put together a list of the best Montessori-friendly “I love you” books to give you book ideas for every day, new parent gifts, Valentine’s Day gifts, and more.

Best Montessori-Friendly “I Love You” Books

Since our son, Caleb, was born we’ve collected a lot of “I love you” books. My husband and I have so much fun reading “I love you books” to him, and Caleb loves to have them read to him.

These are “I love you” books that we already own, are giving to our son, Caleb, for his first Valentine’s Day, or my mom, Deb Chitwood of Living Montessori Now, has who lives across the street from us.

I Will Love You Forever is a such a sweet book that Caleb and I love reading!

I Will Love You Forever / Te amaré por siempre (Spanish and English Edition)

One Love is a favorite of Caleb’s! I love singing this to him, and he is hooked as soon as I start singing the song.

A Kiss Means I Love You shows different emotions really well and ends with a loving “A kiss means I love you.”. After I found this book while writing this post, my mom purchased one to read to her grandchildren.

Baby Touch and Feel I Love You

How Do You Say I Love You? is a wonderful book that has how to say “I love you” in ten languages!

Sweet Child of Mine

Mama Loves You So is another favorite of Caleb’s! He adores having this read day after day.

You Are My Heart

Good Night, I Love You

I Love You, Baby, from Head to Toe!

Does a Kangaroo Have a Mother, Too? ends in such an adorable way: “And do animal mothers love their babies? Yes! Yes! Of Course they do. Animal mothers love their babies, just as yours loves you.”

Hands Say Love is a lovely Montessori-friendly book for an older toddler or young preschooler. It’s a hardcover book.

These two books are very sweet “I love you books,” just not completely Montessori-friendly.

10 Little Kisses has awesome and absolutely adorable photos of animals doing sweet, loving things that the book says. It also has separate photos of the exact number such as “6 Silly chimpanzees.” Many of the pages are Montessori-friendly, but a occasionally the book talks about an animal saying something loving.

The I Love You Book is such a cute “I love you” book. The colors of the people and pictures are not realistic and there are smiling fish on the last page. Otherwise it is Montessori-friendly.

Have fun!
