Body image is such a common problem now … for young girls to women of all ages. Being able to embrace your body and have a positive body image is powerful! I love this quote by Steve Maraboli: “There is nothing more rare, nor more beautiful, than a woman being unapologetically herself; comfortable in her perfect imperfection. To me, that is the true essence of beauty.”
I created a word art freebie based on this quote. If you’d like to share this image online or on social media, please use the image with the watermark. I really appreciate when you link to my post, too. 🙂

True Essence of Beauty Word Art
I feel it’s key to identify what truly makes you “you”! What your body looks like isn’t the person you are inside. What do you like best about yourself? What makes you special?
If working out, eating healthy, or both are important to you, though, then those things are part of you. If you love to work out and suddenly stop working out, then you’re disregarding that part of yourself. In that case, you will most likely not feel like yourself or feel as confident, regardless of how you look.
I’ve always found if I get off track with my healthy eating or regular workouts, I don’t feel like myself. Even at times when it seemed my body surprisingly looked better than when I was working out more often or eating healthier, I didn’t feel like myself or feel as confident. Working out and eating healthily are simply a part of me.
Working out and eating healthier are great ways to develop a positive body image. Just make sure you look at why you’re doing it. Even if you have a positive body image already, it’s not uncommon to have some motivation come from wanting to look your best. The key here is to identify those reasons, and discover your bigger motivation that isn’t about body image. A great example is working out to improve your health or stay healthy.
Having a Positive Body Image
With TV, movies, magazines, the internet, and social media, it’s so easy to compare how you look to others. Remember who you are and what makes you special!
