Event Preparation Experiment Weeks 4 and 5: England to San Diego and Upcoming Event Excitement!Event Preparation Experiment Weeks 4 and 5: England to San Diego and Upcoming Event Excitement!

As our England visit comes to a close, Tom and I look forward to some final family time and then getting back to our lovely home in San Diego! It will be interesting to see how we do with jet lag and getting back into our new sleep schedule. Read on below to see how my weeks went.

Sunday, August 8th:

Today was our final day in Bristol. We went to Aunt Ivonne and Uncle Steve’s house and enjoyed a lovely lunch and spending time with everyone! In the evening, we spent extra time with baby Hannah and family.

For our workout, we took a fast walk and jogged some of the time with baby Hannah! Hannah enjoyed the speed, and we had fun working out with her.

Day 22 complete. It was a fun day with family!

Monday, August 9th:

We made sure we were all packed and ready to go before spending some final time with Katy, Gareth, and baby Hannah. It was fun to give Hannah lots of cuddles before we left.

Then mum and dad drove us to Heathrow airport. Upon arriving and checking in, we were offered a great deal of travel vouchers, staying in a complimentary hotel for the night, and getting free meals if we fly out tomorrow. We decided to take it because Tuesday is our day off together anyway, so we don’t have to be back until tomorrow night.

It was fun to stay in a nice hotel in London  … just the two of us at the end of our trip! It was even better that it was complimentary.

Our trip to England has been great, and we’ve been to Leicester, London, Sheffield, and Bristol this time!

Day 23 complete. Tom and I had a lovely final day in London!

Tuesday, August 10th:

Today Tom and I had a wonderful buffet breakfast at the hotel and then made our way to Heathrow airport. We flew to San Diego and arrived at 6:35pm. During this flight, I did some business but otherwise relaxed and watched some inflight movies. Back in San Diego, Tom and I had dinner, relaxed a bit, and had an early night.

Day 24 complete. We’re back in San Diego!

Wednesday, August 11th:

We woke up at 5am! It was super to feel fresh and ready to go. I enjoyed having the extra hours early in the morning to get more work on my business done. I did some writing and caught up on things with my business. Then I did some music editing and e-mails for my coaching.

Tom and I then worked out. I did a 1-hour, 10-minute strength workout of my creation + full-body stretching on the Power Plate. It felt great to get a good workout in, especially after traveling yesterday.

I coached until 7:45pm, then had dinner and an early night. I was very tired from jet lag.

Day 25 complete. It was a productive day back!

Thursday, August 12th:

I woke up at 5am and did some organizing. I took care of some business items, and then Tom and I worked out together. We did a 20-minute HIIT workout of my creation. It felt great to get a more intense workout in!

I worked on my business more and did some product development. After coaching and an errand, Chea and I made some fresh tomato, basil, red pepper, and onion soup. It was very yummy!

I took care of some more business items before spending time with Tom and having an early night.

Day 26 complete. I did a fun HIIT workout with Tom.

Friday, August 13th:

Today I woke up at 5am, and went to work on my business. Tom and did some continuous learning on an eClass we’re doing. I did some organizing. After that, I took care of more business items and then did some writing and product creation.

After work, I ran a couple of errands and worked more on my business. Tom and I are going to do an extra workout tomorrow instead of today. For dinner, Tom and I had food from Chipotle, and we watched a movie at home. It was a nice and simple but relaxing evening!

Day 27 complete. I had a good day and relaxing evening!

Saturday, August 14th:

I woke up at 5am but dozed for a little while. It’ll take some time getting used to waking up at 5am on weekends. Once I got up, it was exciting to have lots of extra time before work! I wrote for a couple of hours, followed by product development and work on my business.

Then I did a 1-hour strength workout of my creation + full-body stretching on the Power Plate. It feels good to get my body going in the morning.

I worked morning into afternoon. Then Tom and I went for a walk and did exercises in the park for our workout from yesterday.

In the evening, Chea and I received a special complimentary pampering session, which was fun! Then I spent some quality time with Tom.

Day 28 complete. It was a productive day, including good quality time!

I’m feeling good doing more intense workouts this week. My body feels better because of some recovery last week, but it’s ready to be pushed to the max again! I’m really enjoying getting up at 5am and having the extra hours in the day. I hope it continues to work well.

I have some very exciting events coming up that I can’t wait to share with you! This week I’m preparing for them as well as doing a lot of work on my business.

Sunday, September 15th through Saturday, September 21:

This week was very productive! I spent a lot of my time writing, working on my fitness business, doing product creation, and working on my coaching business.

As for workouts, I completed 6 intense workouts, including strength workouts, HIIT Workouts, Pilates, and more – all of my own creation. I’m feeling great and ready for next week’s events!

It was a lovely week with Tom, Will, and Chea, too! On Saturday, Shaun and I threw Will and Chea a baby shower at the Kroc ice rink for Will’s students, my students, and Kroc coaches. It was wonderful and special to be able to be a part of this special time! Tom and I also enjoyed some great quality time together this week.

I’m so excited for next week. I will get to share photos and excitement with you about the events in Hollywood! There will be two red-carpet events, one of them an awards gala where I’m receiving an award for becoming a best-selling author! I’m so thankful to you, as you make all of this possible!

Yay! I’ve completed my 4th and 5th weeks of the Event Preparation Experiment!

What I’m Doing for the Event Preparation Experiment

I will work out 6 days per week/do 6 workouts per week.

I will do a variety of weight training, Pilates, and cardio training.

I will be eating my version of gluten free, dairy free, and sugar free.

I will be mostly gluten-free but will include oats and Ezekial bread.

I will be mostly dairy-free but will include whey protein, yogurt/Greek yogurt, eggs, and goat cheese.

I will be sugar free except for the natural sugars or healthier versions of sugar in fruit/dried fruit, honey (also not vegan), or Agave Nectar.

Another thing I will be experimenting with is getting up at 5am every morning, including weekends. I tend to be a night owl and even though I have to start work often at 6am, I find it difficult to force myself to get to bed early enough to get adequate sleep. When I don’t work early in the morning, I tend to need 9 hours of sleep per night to feel my best.

Be sure to check out my original Event Preparation Experiment post for a list of all my posts and recipes!
