You may have already made your New Year’s resolutions and/or goals. Or you may be thinking of setting goals but procrastinating because you want to do it right. Maybe you haven’t even gotten to thinking about making some goals. Whatever the case, now is the time to try something new and go for it with all your energy!
5 Ways to Start Something New for the New Year
Here are 5 ways to start something new:
1. Think of something you’ve always wanted to do and go for it! Have you always wanted to take dance lessons, perform on the stage, or learn a musical instrument? Whatever it is, decide now is the time to start achieving your ambition!
2. Research what’s necessary to achieve your ambition. Research how you can make your goal happen. Find the dance school, performing arts studio, or whatever can help you towards your goal.
3. Plan your goal into your schedule. When something is in your schedule or planner, it’s much easier to stick to doing it. You can start out with once a week and move up gradually or stay at once a week or whatever is necessary for your goal. Scheduling it in is a key part of achieving your goal.
4. Make the appointment. When you have someone else counting on you, it makes you more likely to complete a task or goal.
5. Have fun and enjoy the process of starting a new activity this year!!!
Life goes by so quickly. Why not enjoy it and put your energy into it?!
Enjoy Your New Endeavor
You will typically enjoy life more and feel better about doing something you’ve always wanted to do. Good luck with your new endeavor! Have a wonderful year!

I’ve found that most people tend to overlook what they take for granted during the holidays when they tend to slack off on their training. If they can be convinced to take a look at their strengths first and get them back to their peaks, they are then that much more fired up to focus on their weaknesses after their focus on strengths makes them feel like they haven’t missed a beat.
That’s great you’ve found something that works for you! Have a great 2011!
