Jamberry Nail Wraps: Baggie Method

November 26, 2014 By Christina Chitwood30-Day Challenges, Beauty, Jamberry Nails

Do you get bubbles, side rippling, or lifting at the tips on your nail wraps? Are you looking for another easy trick to help your Jamberry Nail Wraps last longer and look completely smooth? The baggie method will do just that!

Jamberry Nail Wraps: Baggie Method - Christina Chitwood Performance

A Super Addition to My Jamberry Application Techniques

I was completely hooked once I tried this trick! I wouldn’t have guessed how easily it can be done. Even though it is an extra step, I don’t find it takes any longer to add this step because it quickens the following step of Heat and Pressure for Applying Jamberry Nail Wraps. I always use the baggie method when I apply my Jamberry Nail Wraps now! 🙂

Using the Baggie Method

Once you have completed these Jamberry nail prep and application steps:

1. Pushing Your Cuticles Back Using Coconut Oil – Prep for Jamberry Nails.

2. A Key to Your Jamberry Nail Wraps Staying On

3. Sizing Your Jamberry Nail Wraps Using the Clear Backing

4. Removing and Cutting Jamberry Nail Wraps

5. Heating Jamberry Nail Wraps Using the Jamberry Heater

6. Heating Jamberry Nail Wraps Using a Hair Dryer

7. The Pressing Technique for Applying Jamberry Nail Wraps

The baggie method can be added after the pressing technique.

What You’ll Need

A Plastic Bag
A Jamberry Heater or A Hair Dryer

The Steps for the Baggie Method

To use the baggie method follow the steps below.

1. To seal the nail from all sides, wrap a plastic bag tight over nail and pull tight toward the palm.
2. Heat bag with the nail.
3. Continue with your normal nail wrap prep and application with the next step: Heat and Pressure for Applying Jamberry Nail Wraps.

Why Does This Help?

I used to have my nail wraps lift at the tips and even sometimes bubble before I tried this trick. The baggie method is great because it heats the nail wrap evenly throughout, helping it completely adhere to your nail.

By pulling the bag tightly toward your palm, it will  seal the edge of the nail and get ride of any wrinkles at the edge of the nail wrap. It does this by bringing the wrinkles past your nail and onto the nail wrap end that will be filed off. Using extra pressure to help seal the edges after using the baggie method will help you completely smooth your nail wraps to your nails.
