The song “Kung Fu Fighting” is a classic of sorts, especially when you think of martial arts! It’s such a fun song, and it creates awesome energy for working out. It has been featured in Kung Fu Panda and Kung Fu Panda 2 as well as many other movies and TV shows. I knew this song would make for a great dance workout for kids & kids at heart!

“Kung Fu Fighting” DANCE FITNESS VIDEO
This workout takes me back to my karate days! I had so much fun in my teens when I did Goju Ryu Karate and became a Junior Olympic Gold Medalist in it.
This workout has a lot of jumping and kicking, which will definitely raise your heart rate. When jumping, work to land softly and spring up as high as you can. When kicking, push through your heels and start by kicking 45 degrees/halfway to hip height. Then you can begin to kick higher as you get more comfortable with the movements. Only go as high as feels good for you while still being challenging.
JUST KEEP MOVING
The breakdown is made for you to go through as many times as you need. You may want to go through it before you do the full workout each time. You may want to do it one to three times and just do the full workout otherwise. Remember, it is for you and what you need specifically. Use it to suit your needs best!
This is a full-body cardio and toning workout. Keep your core engaged to get the most benefit for your abs and to protect your body. Activate your core throughout the routine by lengthening your body and drawing your belly button into your spine. You shouldn’t feel the moves or routine in your lower back. If you do find you feel it in your lower back, activate your abdominals and glutes even more.
WORKOUT IDEAS
Do a warmup before this workout and a cool-down after. You may also choose to do the breakdown a couple of times as you warm up.
Here are some ideas for you to use this workout (times are approximate):
10-Minute Workout – Do the breakdown 1x and full workout 1x. This would be slightly longer when cooling down.
20 -Minute Workout – Do the breakdown 2x and full workout 2x.
40-Minute Workout – Do the breakdown 2x and full workout 2x. Repeat breakdown and full workout alternating each 2x. Follow with approximately 5-minute cool-down.

Always creative ….. Thanks Christina
