Low-Thyroid Blood Test Results!

Week 9 - Low-Thyroid Blood Test ResultsWeek 9: Low-Thyroid Blood Test Results!

This week I had some news about my thyroid. As you know, I have a low thyroid and that is one of the reasons I started this experiment. Read on below to see how my week went.

Sunday, January 20th:

Today was the Kroc Center Ice Competition, and it was fantastic! My students did great, and I’m so proud of them – 14 Gold, 5 Silver, 2 Bronze, 1 Fourth Place, 1 Fifth Place!

I was at the rink from 5:45am until almost 10pm as my students were competing all day long. Therefore, I took the day off from exercising, as it wouldn’t have been possible to fit in unless I worked out before or after the competition.

Day 57 complete. Another successful competition for my students!

Monday, January 21st:

Today I spent a lot of the day catching up on things. It was great to get in a “feel good” workout.

Today for my workout I did the TurboFire Core 20 Class + 10 minutes of full-body stretching + a long walk with Tom.

Day 58 complete. I had a productive day!

Tuesday, January 22nd:

Today Tom and I walked around the practice day at the Torrey Pines Farmers Insurance Open golf tournament. We spent 5 hours walking around and watching golf. It was great and inspiring! I used the walking as part of my workout, and I am adding my physical therapy exercises on Thursday.

Tom and I also went by the golf store after work and tried out some hybrids and woods. I really love the Taylormade and Callaway hybrids and woods.

Day 59 complete. It’s was super to watch the golf!

Wednesday, January 23rd:

I found out my blood test results from the other day. My thyroid levels are in the normal range now!!! This is great news, and although I know its a constantly changing journey, I feel this experiment is helping! It’s been almost 2 years since finding out I have Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis/HypoThyroid (low thyroid). It’s been a long journey to get this far, and now the next step is finding a way to stabilize my thyroid long term. I will find out more in 3 months at my 6-month check up.

Today I did the Fire 30 Class + Sculpt 30 Class (Sculpt 30 is a workout using bands, although I used weights today for most of the workout instead of bands) + 10 minutes of full-body stretching.

Day 60 complete. My thyroid levels are in the normal range!

Thursday, January 24th:

Today along with work among other things, I finished the final updates on my taxes. Now Tom and I can get our 2012 taxes completed. I like to get them in early and out of the way.

In the evening after work, I completed the HIIT 15 Class + 40 minutes of physical therapy exercises + 10 minutes of full-body stretching.

Day 61 complete. Getting things done!

Friday, January 25th:

I did a morning workout of Fire 30 Class + Tone 30 Class (This is another resistance band workout, and I did it mostly with weights today) + 10 minutes of full-body stretching.

Tom and I ran some errands and worked. Then spent a lovely evening together!

Day 62 complete. It’s Friday!

Saturday, January 26th:

I did my normal work schedule, and once Tom and I were both home, we spent the evening setting goals and updating our dream board which we’ve been creating! I really believe in goal setting!

I’m switching my rest day from workouts to Saturdays instead of Wednesdays, so today was my rest day instead of next Wednesday.

Day 63 complete. I enjoyed setting goals with Tom!

I’m feeling really good about this experiment. I feel great about my thyroid blood test results! It’s exciting to have completed a third of the experiment! Yay! I’ve completed my 9th week out of 26 weeks! 🙂
