CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS WITH A MESSAGE
In my blog post How to Make Easy, Sparkly Christmas Ornaments with a Message, I told you how my husband and I have been redecorating our Christmas tree this year with ornaments we’ve made together.
These crystal Christmas ornament designs were a creation I first gave as a gift to my husband, Tom. Then we proceeded to make more crystal crosses together. I also made a heart with the crystals on one ornament. I found the crosses to be the easiest, quickest, and prettiest design. We also love the spiritual message!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO MAKE THE CRYSTAL CHRISTMAS ORNAMENT DESIGNS
Materials:
- Sparkly Silver Ribbon (Similar ribbon here! Similar ribbon with sparkly trim here and here!)
- Rose Gold Glass Ornaments (I used a mixture of regular size matte and small shiny glass ornaments.)
- Crystals in Long Strips of Crystal Stickers
- Tape
- Scissors
Cut the ribbon to the length loop and bow you’d like. Then loop the ribbon through the ornament and tie a bow. I found that longer ribbon made making pretty bows easier.
Fold a piece of tape and stick it on the back of the ornament. Then place the ornament and tape on the surface where you will be making the rest of the ornaments. The tape will help the ornament stay in place and not roll around.
Cut the number of crystals you will be using for each part of the design.
Gently peel the backing off the crystal stickers.
Place the crystal stickers where you want on the ornaments to create the design.
For the larger crosses, I used a connected strip of 8 crystal stickers with two connected crystal stickers placed on the left three down from the top and two crystal stickers placed on the right.
For the smaller crosses, I used a connected strip of 4 crystal stickers with one crystal sticker placed on the left two down from the top and one crystal sticker placed on the right.
These are so pretty and easy to make! You can get as elaborate with your designs as you wish. These crosses are great for both kids and adults to make.
