Thoughts on the week – I set my alarm for 4:45am every morning so that I could get my workout in and practice wedges, short game and putting. I just about managed my goal of 3 practice sessions this week but no workouts. It was a big change to start that early and it was a struggle to get up, especially as I didn’t get to bed as early as I intended. But I feel like I can adjust to this and will reap the benefits in the long run.

What you can learn from my experience?

Make a plan and stick to it!

Whatever it is you want to achieve … a swing change, better putting or improved fitness …. make a plan to achieve it and stick to it. It will be tough and the plan might change along the way. But if you persevere and stick to it, you will achieve what you set out to.

I did this whilst preparing for the playing ability test. It took a while and some steps backwards before I noticed real improvement, but on the day it all made a difference. Now I need to do more. There will be more setbacks, but I will achieve more.

Goals for next week –

None this week. I will be on vacation for 2 weeks. I will blog on a couple of different fun topics while I am away!
