Red juice can be just as awesome as green juice. This juice is delicious and refreshing. With chard, beets, carrot and cucumber, this juice recipe is a nutrient powerhouse!

Juice these ingredients in the following order for the best results. Serve chilled.

1 bunch organic chard

4 organic beets

2 organic cucumbers

2lb organic carrots

Chard

A nutritional powerhouse! Chard contains large amounts of vitamins A, B, C & K. It also provides large amounts of essential minerals copper, calcium, manganese, iron, sodium, potassium and phosphorous. Omega 3 fatty acids are also found in chard. This leafy green vegetable has a lot to offer!

Beet

Beets have a number of great health benefits. The nitrates found in them can instantly lower blood pressure. The phytonutrients that give beets their deep red color can help to ward off cancer. They help to detoxify the blood and liver. Beets are also high in vitamin C, fiber, potassium, manganese and folate.

Cucumber

Cucumbers are not just full of water to keep you hydrated, but they also contain good amounts of vitamin K, B vitamins essential for energy production and fiber to aid digestion and help you feel fuller for longer. They also contain lignans, thought to help in protection against various cancers. Cucurbitacins are also present. They can help to prevent cancer growth.

Carrot

Carrots provide  the body with vitamin A and antioxidants. Vitamin A can help with vision (yes, the old tales are somewhat true!). Antioxidants help to stop cell oxidation and death.
