“See You Again” is such a powerful song. I love the versatility and how it’s both a pretty and energetic song! To capture this, I choreographed the “See You Again” dance workout to change pace and energy with the song.

My favorite part of this dance workout is the quick change in style. One moment you’re dancing artistically, and the next moment you’re getting your cardio on with a hip-hop flavor! I loved choreographing this dance workout for you!

I wanted to put quite a lot of cardio in this song, even though there are many pretty parts. If you prefer not to jump in some of the cardio sections, you can always do the action without jumping by stepping it out.

There are a lot of arm moments throughout this workout. I added multi-planar lunges to strengthen and tone your lower-body. Think awesome legs and glutes!

JUST KEEP MOVING

The breakdown is made for you to go through as many times as you need. You may want to go through it before you do the full workout each time. You may want to do it one to three times and just do the full workout otherwise. Remember, it is for you and what you need specifically. Use it to suit your needs best!

This is a full-body cardio and toning workout. Keep your core engaged to get the most benefit for your abs and to protect your body. Activate your core throughout the routine by lengthening your body and drawing your belly button into your spine. You shouldn’t feel the moves or routine in your lower back. If you do find you feel it in your lower back, activate your abdominals and glutes even more.

WORKOUT IDEAS

Do a warmup before this workout and a cool-down after. You may also choose to do the breakdown a couple of times as you warm up.

Here are some ideas for you to use this workout (times are approximate):

15-Minute Workout – Do the breakdown 1x and full workout 2x. This would be slightly longer when cooling down.

30 -Minute Workout – Do the breakdown 2x and full workout 4x.

45-Minute Workout – Do the breakdown 3x and full workout 6x. Repeat breakdown and full workout alternating each 2x. Follow with approximately 5-minute cool-down after your 45-minute dance workout.

    Christina, what a very impressive video that you showed in the article. You know, some of those hip hop dance moves that you performed reminded me about the ones that even my daughter was showing to me this morning. Oh, she sure has a passion for dancing especially for the hip hop music that she’s been listening to.
