I’m so excited to share the Montessori newborn baby space we have for Caleb in our living room. We absolutely love it!

Montessori Newborn Baby Space
This is the Montessori newborn baby space that we have in our living room (shown here when Caleb was 4 weeks old). Caleb’s baby space was already set up when he arrived home from the hospital, so Tom and I could use it with Caleb from the beginning. We added the Montessori Munari mobile when he showed interest (usually this is around 3 weeks), and have switched the black and white images around when Caleb didn’t seem interested in an image anymore.
I will be adding everything shown in the photos and linking it lower in the blog post for easy reference and shopping.

This is often where Caleb will nap during the day. If he’s not sleeping in my arms, Tom’s arms, or in his bassinet in our bedroom (if I’m napping when Caleb naps), this is usually where he sleeps. The topponcino is on the floor mat/play mat that is comfortable for sleeping and working, such as focusing on images and looking at his mobile. The floor mat is great for tummy time, which we’ve been doing with Caleb since the beginning.

Caleb loves moving and wiggling in his newborn baby space!

We added a black and white image next to our couch when we noticed Caleb liked to look there. Caleb loves to study himself and his movements in the floor mirror, and the chess board type image is one of his favorites.
Here everything pictured (or similar if not available) is linked for simple access (I will be adding more links very soon!):
