The Relax Day Experiment Week 11: YouTube and IDEA World Fitness Conference Excitement!

Sunday, August 4th:
I started my day off with a networking workout in the Little Italy downtown area of San Diego. It was fun to do an intense circuit-style one-hour workout in the park, especially with DJ Will from Dancing DJ Productions playing the music for the workout! I can’t wait to see the photos. Also, there was some awesome vegetable juice provided by an organic fresh juice company. Perfect for after workout.
I put together a new YouTube channel! I’d love it if you’d subscribe to my channel, Christina Chitwood!
Tom and I went for dinner and had a lovely evening together!
Day 71 complete. I can’t wait to do more YouTube videos for my new Christina Chitwood channel!
Monday, August 5th:
After work in the morning, I did product development during my break.
I worked in the afternoon and ran some errands. I then worked on my business and did some writing.
Tom and I went for a walk today for our workout. Then we relaxed together and started our day off together tonight.
Day 72 complete. A productive day!
Tuesday, August 6th:
Tom and I relaxed together to start our day off. We ran some errands at the UTC Mall, then watched the new movie The Way, Way Back. Today was my relax day and also rest day for working out. A lovely day just being spending time with Tom!

Wednesday, August 7th:
I started my day with a workout. I did a 1-hour strength workout of my creation, including full-body stretching on the Power Plate.
Then I starting working through my important task list. I did product development and writing, and then I worked on my business.
I then coached until 8:15pm. After that, I got ready and packed for the fitness convention I’m attending the next four days!
Day 73 complete. A busy day … I’m excited for the next four days!
In the morning, I drove to the Los Angeles Convention Center where the IDEA World Fitness Convention is being held until Sunday. Over 8,000 are attending from the fitness industry!
Today I attended fitness and nutrition lectures. The highlight for me today was “Training the Female Client” with Sherri McMillan.

I found a nearby grocery store for some food for the next few days. Then I did Pilates and stretching in my room before bed and did some work on my business.
Day 74 complete. A great first day at the IDEA World Fitness Convention!
Friday, August 9th:
Today I worked out intensely for 7 hours or more! I wouldn’t typically recommend that, but when attending an awesome convention like this one, it’s worth it to push your body a little too hard.
I started this awesome day with a glow-in-the-dark workout with Chalene Johnson from TurboFire! Here’s a picture of Chalene and me after the workout.
Then there was the intense 2-hour bootcamp circuit-station-style workout with four of the top males and four of the top females in the industry (Douglas Brooks, MS, Amy Dixon, Todd Durkin, MA, Shannon Fable, Sherri McMillan, MSc,Fraser Quelch, Keli Roberts, and Peter Twist, MSc).
Next was the 2-hour “The 30 Essential Exercises” workshop with Robert Sherman. Of course, even the workshops include workouts, too. 🙂 A quick lunch and into the next workout! This was a 2-hour workout, “IDEA All-Star Presenter Boot Camp Blowout!” with Jay Blahnik, Team Coach, and 16 Top IDEA Presenters.
I finished the day with “The Ultimate Stretch Transformation – Showcase Style!” with Jay Blahnik. Jay also had a book signing for his book Full-Body Flexibility – 2nd Edition.
Day 75 complete. An intense second day at the IDEA World Fitness Convention!
Saturday, August 10th:
Today is another week’s worth of exercise in one day! Tony Horton from P90X started the day with “SBR – The Speed, Balance and Range of Motion Formula”! Here’s a picture of Tony and me later in the day making our X!
Then came the awesome “Beachbody’s Mega Showcase Room Workout Featuring Celebrity Trainers” with Tony Horton, Chalene Johnson, and Shaun T! They all did a variation of their signature workouts such as P90X DVD Workout and P90X2: The Next P90X DVD Series Base Kit
, TurboFire, and INSANITY. The ballroom was filled with hundreds of fitness instructors and tons of energy!
Next up: “IDEA”s Epic Dance Encounter” workout with Julz Arney, Dance Master of Ceremonies and Epic Dancers from 7 Top Dance Brands! It was a fun 2-hour workout.
After work, Tom drove to L.A. to join me at the Expo, and we went around the booths for a couple of hours. Since this was the final evening and Tom came to L.A., we went to a movie and had dinner at The Farms restaurant in the L.A. Live area.
Such a great day at the convention and so wonderful to have Tom in town for the evening!
Day 76 complete. An awesome third day at the IDEA World Fitness Convention!
I had a week filled with excitement, education, and productivity! Awesome! Attending conventions and any continuous learning is so wonderful. I’m feeling great, except my body is pretty beat up from about two or three weeks of workouts in one week! I’m excited for next week!
Yay! I’ve completed my 11th week!

Sounds like you had a great time at the conference. I have to say I’m a little jealous that you got to work out with Chalene Johnson 🙂 She is so awesome. Her workouts are really good but what I like even more is her philosophy about eating right and staying fit.
You are doing fantastic and an inspiration!
