WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS WORKOUT

A Mat (This is the mat I’m using in the video: here. It has gone way up in price since I received it a couple years ago at the IDEA World Fitness Convention.)

A Water Bottle (Preferably a glass water bottle.)

Maybe a Sports Towel

CONFIDENCE-BUILDING PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT TUTORIAL

FUN, FULL-BODY, DANCE-STYLE WARMUP

Before you do the workout, make sure to do this warmup (blog post tutorial) first!

EXERCISES IN CONFIDENCE-BUILDING PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT – YOUTUBE VIDEOS

These exercise breakdowns are to help you learn each exercise, develop good posture, and become more knowledgeable about the exercises you’re performing. You can go through the breakdown of each exercise as many times as you’d like. I do recommend doing each exercise breakdown at least once to develop a better understanding of the workout. Even if you’re familiar with the exercise, it’s always helpful to review.

Bird-Dog Exercise – Back Pain Buster (blog post exercise tutorial)

Plank – A Great Core Stability Exercise (blog post exercise tutorial)

A smaller type plank for this workout! Still a tough exercise, and it’s great for all fitness levels. Start on all fours, hands and balls of the feet on the ground, lift knees of the ground a couple inches, and hold.

Back Extension – Solid Back and Stable Shoulders (blog post exercise tutorial)

Bridge – The Buns of Steel Exercise (blog post exercise tutorial)

Wall Squat Exercise for a Strong Lower Body (blog post exercise tutorial)

Single-Leg Romanian Deadlift Exercise – Super Glute Activator (blog post exercise tutorial)

Multi-Planar Lunges – Lean, Sculpted Legs and Butt (blog post exercise tutorial)

Just side lunges for this workout!

    Hi Christina!

Day two I found much harder. I found it harder because Pilates focuses a lot on core strength, it definitely feels more muscle work goes into the exercise than regular dancing or cardio exercise. I feel good for giving the Pilates a go! :)x
