Are you looking for a Pilates or strength workout? I created this toning Pilates and strength workout for you!

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS WORKOUT

A Mat (This is the mat I’m using in the video: here. It has gone way up in price since I received it a couple years ago at the IDEA World Fitness Convention.)

A Water Bottle (Preferably a glass water bottle.)

Maybe a Sports Towel

TONING PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT TUTORIAL

FUN, FULL-BODY, DANCE-STYLE WARMUP

Before you do the workout, make sure to do this warmup (blog post tutorial) first!

EXERCISES IN TONING PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT – YOUTUBE VIDEOS

These exercise breakdowns are to help you learn each exercise, develop good posture, and become more knowledgeable about the exercises you’re performing. You can go through the breakdown of each exercise as many times as you’d like. I do recommend doing each exercise breakdown at least once to develop a better understanding of the workout. Even if you’re familiar with the exercise, it’s always helpful to review.

Bicycles Exercise – Six Pack Abs (blog post exercise tutorial)

Crab Leg Raise – Solid Core, Strong Butt (blog post exercise tutorial)

Hip Rolls Exercise – Toned Abs and Butt (blog post exercise tutorial)

Back Extension – Solid Back and Stable Shoulders (blog post exercise tutorial)

Arms long by your side for this workout! Reach arms long and feel your fingertips trying to reach toward your feet. Palms face into your body as you extend off the ground.

Sumo Squats – Toned Legs and Butt (blog post exercise tutorial)

Hold the sumo squat position and do heel raises for this workout! Go into a sumo squat position, push through the balls of your feet, and lift your heels in a controlled motion. You can go into a low sumo squat position or a little higher, whichever way you feel your calf muscles working more.

Alternating Leg Squat – Strong, Powerful Legs (blog post exercise tutorial)

Transform Your Legs and Butt – Side Kicks Exercise (blog post exercise tutorial)

TONING PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT – YOUTUBE VIDEO

Do this workout at least one time! You can repeat this workout however many times you want to make the workout longer. You can also do this workout and then add one or more of my other workouts.

SERENE, STANDING, FLEXIBILITY COOL-DOWN

When you’re finished with your workout, make sure to do this cool-down (blog post tutorial)!

Hi Christina! I did the workout, unsure of how my neck would feel during the first exercise in the video. I had to stop after I felt pain but I moved onto the next set with ease. Today I did workout 4, 5 and 6 together so I had more of a workout. I felt great afterwards! I’m enjoying the challenge, I feel my strength could be improved the more I do. 🙂 x
