Improve Your Posture Pilates and Strength Workout {Fitness Tutorial}

Improve Your Posture Pilates and Strength Workout {Fitness Tutorial}

WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS WORKOUT

A Mat (This is the mat I’m using in the video: here. It has gone way up in price since I received it a couple years ago at the IDEA World Fitness Convention.)

A Water Bottle (Preferably a glass water bottle.)

Maybe a Sports Towel

IMPROVE YOUR POSTURE PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT TUTORIAL

FUN, FULL-BODY, DANCE-STYLE WARMUP

Before you do the workout, make sure to do this warmup (blog post tutorial) first!

EXERCISES IN IMPROVE YOUR POSTURE PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT – YOUTUBE VIDEOS

These exercise breakdowns are to help you learn each exercise, develop good posture, and become more knowledgeable about the exercises you’re performing. You can go through the breakdown of each exercise as many times as you’d like. I do recommend doing each exercise breakdown at least once to develop a better understanding of the workout. Even if you’re familiar with the exercise, it’s always helpful to review.

Roll Up Exercise – Lean Beach Body (blog post exercise tutorial)

To learn the roll up, start with legs bent and feet flat on the ground. Then work up to doing the roll up with legs straight.

Bridge – The Buns of Steel Exercise (blog post exercise tutorial)

T-Plank – A Classic with a Twist (blog post exercise tutorial)

Back Extension – Solid Back and Stable Shoulders (blog post exercise tutorial)

Arms to the side in a T-position for this workout. Bring hands out to the side in line with the shoulders. Place thumbs up to the ceiling by rotating outward. Squeeze shoulder blades together and lift continuing to squeeze more.

Multi-Planar Lunges – Lean, Sculpted Legs and Butt (blog post exercise tutorial)

Back lunges for this workout! This is the exact reverse of the front lunge. Start with feet together and bring one foot and leg backward and bend legs into a lunge. Push up and bring back foot together to the other foot.

Spiderman Exercise – Full-Body Strength (blog post exercise tutorial)

Quick Feet Exercise – Toned and Fast (blog post exercise tutorial)

Do this workout at least one time. You can repeat this workout however many times you want to make the workout longer. You can also do this workout and then add one or more of my other workouts.
