WHAT YOU WILL NEED FOR THIS WORKOUT

A Mat (This is the mat I’m using in the video: here. It has gone way up in price since I received it a couple years ago at the IDEA World Fitness Convention.)

A Water Bottle (Preferably a glass water bottle.)

Maybe a Sports Towel

ENERGIZING PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT TUTORIAL

FUN, FULL-BODY, DANCE-STYLE WARMUP

Before you do the workout, make sure to do this warmup (blog post tutorial) first!

EXERCISES IN ENERGIZING PILATES & STRENGTH WORKOUT – YOUTUBE VIDEOS

These exercise breakdowns are to help you learn each exercise, develop good posture, and become more knowledgeable about the exercises you’re performing. You can go through the breakdown of each exercise as many times as you’d like. I do recommend doing each exercise breakdown at least once to develop a better understanding of the workout. Even if you’re familiar with the exercise, it’s always helpful to review.

Plank – A Great Core Stability Exercise (blog post exercise tutorial)

Swimming Pilates Exercise – Strong, Sexy Back (blog post exercise tutorial)

Side Plank – Slim Waist, Strong Body (blog post exercise tutorial)

Roll Up Exercise – Lean Beach Body (blog post exercise tutorial)

A roll up with legs bent for this workout! Still a tough exercise, and it’s great for all fitness levels. Start with knees bent, feet together and planted on the ground, reaching forward. Then proceed to do the same as the roll up exercise, just with your legs bent.

Inchworm Exercise – Grow an Inch Taller (blog post exercise tutorial)

Multi-Planar Lunges – Lean, Sculpted Legs and Butt (blog post exercise tutorial)

Just front lunges for this workout! Try front lunges one leg at a time. Then work up to alternating front lunges where you alternate legs after each lunge.

Sumo Squats – Toned Legs and Butt (blog post exercise tutorial)

One of my favorite ways to start the day is with a workout! It can really give you energy that can last throughout the day. Another time that is great to workout is when you’re feeling low on energy. Doing your workout then can give you that burst of energy you need.
