It’s so special to work out with your child. Exercise is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle. Exercising together, exercising with your child in the same room, or having your child with you wherever you work out can be such a positive thing in both of your lives.
“Working out with your child right there with you and having him or her join in when ready is a wonderful way to begin promoting exercise.” – Christina Chitwood. I’ve made this free printable to help inspire you to start or continue working out with your child.

“Working out with Your Child” Word Art
My husband and I love working out with our baby boy. It’s fantastic to have him in the same room when we do a workout at home, wear him in a baby carrier as we walk on the beach at sunset, or have him with us for any workout we do.
Tom and I both want Caleb to grow up enjoying and having a positive experience with exercise. We want to be positive role models by displaying regular exercise. We want Caleb to enjoy exercise as a positive part of daily living as he grows up. Currently, while he’s still such a young baby, we wear him in a baby carrier, he plays (does his “work”), or sleeps next to us while we work out. As he gets older, we will encourage participation in a unstructured way as well as more structured workouts when he’s quite a bit older. We plan to continue to work out as a family in addition to exercising together in nature and through sports, too.
Exercise won’t be forced or pushed. Rather, we want it to be a positive part of a healthy daily lifestyle.
